The other day I painted my living room, and stairway/upstairs hall (they wrap into each other so it flows better to have them all the same color). The paint company !generously! Named the color, “toasted almond”… which let’s face it, that’s beige. Ug… BEIGE. I’m SO not a beige person and am shocked to find myself using it. It all starts with two if the husband’s very comfortable but VERY ugly couches (think almost taupe almost army green, ug, nothing matches!), and us not wanting to spend the funds to replace. I plan on livening things up with graphic black and white prints combined with pops of green/pink/orange. Anyhoodle, not the point of this story, the MIL was over the other day helping clean, glanced in at my work and made the comment that she liked the color “so much” that she heartily suggested I paint the WHOLE house that color!

So. Very. Vanilla. Ug.

I’m FINE with vanilla people so bean it up if you are one, it leaves more room for those of us who like to experiment with the other 31 flavors…
